Here is my testimony in 2025 protecting public nuisance lawsuits against Texans for Lawsuit Reform (TLR) -- the largest donor to my opponent Stan Gerdes -- because they were trying to take away what will probably be the tool that Stops the Slop in Lee County and may be needed to stop the stink from the chicken rendering plant in Bastrop County.

I think the most important water victory for HD 17 this session was to insure that the dedicated tax money devoted to water infrastructure cannot be used to drain our fresh groundwater in HD 17 and shipped off outside the district. It can only be used for new water supply -- NOT the groundwater our grandchildren need to have under HD 17.
