We hope this central location in HD 17 will be accessible for much of the district. It is not far from the intersection of 290 and Highway 21, making it easy to get to from Bastrop, Elgin, Smithville, McDade, Caldwell, Rockdale, Lexington, and Giddings.  We recognize it is a bit of a hike from Luling, Lockhart, Martindale, and Cameron.  But what are you going to do in a district that is over 120 miles from southern boundary to northern boundary?
